Dark Passage (Warner Bros., 1947). Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Billed "Together Again!" on this classic film noir one sheet is one of cinema's most remembered and legitimate Hollywood couples, Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall. Dark Passage would be the duo's third film together shortly after the success of The Big Sleep and was one of the first significant pictures to make unlimited use of the "subjective camera" technique. Professional corrections have been made to the minor edge and fold wear, subtle fold separation, pinholes, soft creases, and a tiny chip in the left border. The poster displays beautifully after touchups have been applied to the minor flaws.

Dark Passage was the third film to showcase the charismatic pairing of Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, and certainly resides in the pantheon of film noir greats. It had been almost two years since the couple worked together on The Big Sleep, and when this film was finally released the studio heralded their reappearance with the "Together Again!" tagline. The film was one of the first few major pictures to make extensive use of the "subjective camera" technique - Robert Montgomery had done so the year before with Lady in the Lake, and Rouben Mamoulian to a lesser degree in 1931's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - and studio head Jack L. Warner was less than thrilled to discover that their most bankable star's face would not actually be shown until halfway through the movie. Fortunately, by the time he made this discovery production was too far along for the film to be changed. The one sheet features a dynamic use of color, along with a romantic portrait of the leads, and presents wonderfully.

Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were legends both on and off the screen and never made a bad film together. This suspense classic boasts a top-notch plot, clever cinematography, and a superb cast with Bruce Bennett and Agnes Moorehead supporting the stars.  An escaped convict (Bogart), who has his face altered to evade the police, sets out to find the real killer of his wife.Bacall plays an artist who takes an interest in Bogart's dilemma, and who has a nagging, spiteful friend, played by Agnes Moorehead. This dramatic 75+ year old one sheet had some minor border and fold wear .  It has been professionally linen backed and looks Amazing!

* Original Vintage Bogart-Becall film posters are highly desirable by collectors with some one sheets selling at auction for up to $5000.
